"Conversations with Silver"
Robert Asman
These images were made on outdated and "fogged" gelatin silver photographic paper of vintage Agfa stock which is over thirty years old. I used sticks, and brushes to drip, rub, and sketch the developer onto the paper's surface to allow the fluidity to define serendipitously and neurologically the shape of a non-illustrative and subjective content. The print was then fixed, selenium toned, bleached, and tea stained to permanence and archival standards. Needless to say, each image is unique. They are signed, titled, and dated on verso in pencil and estate embossed on right bottom of print
