Labryinth of the Limbs Robert Asman |
|||||||||||||||||||||
Part of the Anatomical Circus which particularly fascinates me is the sculptural possibilities of the arms and legs entwined. The legs, in particular, have an organic grounding to the earth and supports the torso from the incursions of gravity and, with arms entwined, the headwinds. The silver photographic paper I made these on has a sculptural quality that grounds well and the chemicals seem to excavate the limbs from the paper during the processing in an alchemical and serendipitous way. |
