Fossilized Photo Trays
A conceptual work in nine panels

In 1989, after returning to the lab after a holiday, I discovered the following trays had accidently been left out and the chemistry crystalized. I photographed them on 4x5 sheet film and made 16x20" selenium toned silver gelatin enlargements for display at the studio. They were up for a year or two and were quite marvelous. These trays seem to be relics, symbols, and icons of silver gelatin and historical photographic processes.

The original prints can be purchased at a price quoted on request; however, I am also offering the nine prints as an archived giclee edition. The prints will be offered in four standard sizes at a very reasonable cost for display and collections. They will be of the highest quality, individually signed, numbered, embossed, and dated on verso by Robert Asman. The nine prints can be printed together on one page or as seperate panels that can be pieced together; a decorator or designers dream!
